A graceful figure stood behind the curtain. Her raven-black curls tied in extravagant fashion atop her head. Her sapphire eyes looked around for the signal to go on stage. She heard the announcer announcing the play. "The most wonderful performance blah blah blah... A great cast blah blah blah... Now, sit back, relax, and enjoy out show,"
The curtain rose. A beam of bright light hit the girl, but she did not look away. The girl began the story in song. Her magical voice echoed throughout the silent crowd. The story was about a young girl, a farmer who desired more then work. She set out on a journey, starting on the full moon. "I'll be back before the next full moon," she promised. The singing girl telling the story danced around the stage, acting out different parts.
More people entered the stage, dancing and singing around the girl in the center. A group of candles were brought on stage. The girl in the center of the stage snapped her fingers, and the candles sprouted a flame. The other people on stage continued the story, while the main girl acted the parts out.
The story about the girl changed, the story character traveled for a week, two weeks, before finding anything. At last she found what she was seeking, and headed home, arriving on the night of a full moon. The main actress snapped again, and the candles flickered out. The crowd cheered as the actors and actresses came on for a bow, cheering especially loudly when the main actress came on. "Hannah Von DeGram! Can I get a few words?" "Hannah Angeline Von DeGram? May I have an autograph?" "Miss Von DeGram! We would like an interview for the local paper!" Yes, Miss Von DeGram was her name. Hannah Angeline Von DeGram, though she preferred Hannah.
