The music whistled loudly into the ears of the occupants of the ballroom. Each one of them was either deep into conversation or was in the middle of the floor dancing their hearts out. The concerato hummed its fortisimo melody into the dancers movements. Making them graceful and quick with their wonderful dancing. It seemed like their was magic in the air. All around everyone was happy and content with their surroundings.
Why wouldn't they be? This ball was to announce and celebrate the settlement for her father's buisness in Germany. All of the lawyers and such were invited to give thanks to all of their work in the case and the grant of money from the king and queen.
But there was one person not celebrating. Far in the corner a wallflower hung closely to her fellow patterns on the wallpaper. In her sweet little black dress she stood like a statue. Pale and beautiful in her own little world. It seemed she didn't want anything to do with these people. Like she was just being forced into something she didn't want.
That person was Margot. The ripe young woman of 19. Her career of acting was hitting off in the theaters and she was beginning to earn her own way.
She wasn't happy though today. For she missed her dear Damon. She wasn't really going with him yet, but she did care for him so. It was like her heart beat so much faster when he was around, like she was floating on air. But Margot couldn't tell the difference between a flirtacious crush and love. She was almost convinced that she was just his girl for the week and that soon after it all started she might be betrayed. There didn't seem to be a perfect man like him that wasn't really a liar and a cheater.
As she stood she could see her father walking towards her. With a man in his grasp. It seemed like he was leading him to something and it took her a while to realize it was her. What did he think he was doing?
As soon as he got within earshot of his daughter he cried out, "Margot my darling I'd like you to meet one of the men on the job. I was just telling him about you, my lovely daughter, and how well you are doing with your acting. I also mentioned the need for you to become aqcuainted with someone soon. Perhaps a husband?"
He grinned foolishly at his daughter and she only gave him a sheepish grin. Looking confused and bewildered by his pushing to find her a man so soon.

Johnathon had been talking to many people in the room and had danced with a few of the ladies as he made his way around the room. One man had caught his attention and they soon began talking about Law. but the conversation had soon changed to the subject of the Mans daughter and before he knew it he was taken to the other side of the room to meet a young, yet beautiful woman. The nam had called her Margot. Johnathan bowed his head slightly, "Nice to meet you Miss" Jonny said as he took the girls hand and kissed it softly.
The girls father had mentioned the word husband and Jonny simply smiled towards the girl, "I heard your an actress" he said polietly making conversation. He then looked around at the crowd, "Would you like to dance and talk there?" she asked with a kind smile as he held out his hand for Margot to take.

Margot smiled at him, but almost seemed uninterested. Like she was distracted by something else. To anyone it probably looked like she was a bit taken back by what her father was trying to do. But truly she just wanted to get out of the room and to the man she really wanted to see right now. Damon.
When he kissed her hand she just smiled and watched as her father left them alone finally. He seemed content even though his daughter didn't know what to do.
She looked up at the man. She still didn't know his name. He held out his hand asking her to dance. She wondered how many women he had asked to dance that night. Making her wonder how many women Damon had ever danced with. If it meant anything. Did this man even mean anything or was he just being kind because her father was high on the food chain. But regardless of it all Margot took his hand and nodded her approval to dance.
"But it'd be nice to know your name first." She grinned. What did she need to be polite for? She didn't care if he liked her or if her father's associates liked her. She was just there to look pretty. He hadn't even told her his name. What was the point in politeness now?

Johnathan smiled as Margot took his hand and agreed to dance, he cleared his throat and looked into Margots eyes, "The name is Johnathan Coleman...pleasure to meet you miss" he said bowing his head slightly as a sign of respect. He then led Margot to the dance floor. When he found a space he stopped, he wasnt to sure about putting his arm around Margot's waiste straight away as he didnt know her, "May i?" he asked her to make sure she didnt mind.
The music playing was slow, Jonny took a small deep breath and began to lead the two as they began to dance. He wanted to ask Margot so many questions but had to find a polite way or putting them so he didnt sound intruding on her life. "You look amazing tonight Miss Reolas" He said tring to get his words out. Jonny couldnt understand why he found it so hard to talk to Margot he was usually so confident around women....unless he liked them of course.

"Sure she told Johnathan as he asked if she was alright with personal contact. Not that she really wanted it to be him if it was personal contact, but what else was she supposed to do? Damon wasn't there and her father was growing restless with their lack of affection in public.
"Did my father tell you to suck up to me?" She asked him a bit annoyed. "Because my opinion doesn't matter a bit in your position. So you might as well just dance and get this all over with."
Margot didn't usually have an attitude towards men but she really wanted to be somewhere else right now and she was very preoccupied.

Johnathan smiled as Margot said the contact was ok. They danced slowly as the slow beat of the music took over their bodies, Johnathan was shocked at what Margot said next however. Jonny continued to dance as he noticed her father had been watching them, "No, your did not" he said softly "I wanted to dance with you for you not for your father" he added. They continued to dance in silence, then the music changed and began to get slightly faster.
Johnathan picked up the pace slightly as he continued to lead Margot, "If you do not like me why is it you agreed to dance?" Jonny asked as he could feel Margot wasnt to happy. He couldnt understand why she had judged him over them meeting through her father. He wasnt like most people. Jonny smiled at Margot, "Would you like us to stop dancing?" he asked Margot softly.

"Would you have persisted if I had told you no?" She smiled. It was a rhetorical question. Something for him to ponder as he danced. Knowing most men they probably would have kept asking and tried to make her feel bad since her dad wanted this.
"I like dancing very much I might add but I have to admit it makes me uneasy because my father knows I am for another man."
Maybe he'd leave her alone now that she admitted this little bit.

Jonathan smiled as Marot asked him a question. He continued to dance as she continued to talk, "Well i am glad you like dancing. Makes it easier for me" he said smiling more " Dancing is just Dancing, it doesnt mean anything serious unless you would like it too" he said explaining his opinion...Which he did often. "Tell me more about what else you like to do" he said in his calm voice the dance continued to become faster.

"I'm an actress. I like to perform for people. Sing and dance. To pretend I'm someone else for a while. It's like a little escape. Some place to go when I'm not happy with everything around me or when I'm so happy I need to come down from the sky." Margot smiled with her words. She was greatly passionate about acting. She loved what she did for a living even if it didn't earn that much of a living.
"I like to read. Mostly science fiction. Or anything about science really. My mother's a nurse and I find the human body to be rather interesting. More so than most."
The dancing began to get faster, she could feel it. He was moving more swiftly with her and the beat was keeping them at a slightly accelerated speed. She still wished she was there with Damon, but he was right. Dancing is just dancing and it doesn't have to be anything unless you want it to. Right now she was with a friend or more of an aquaintance.

Jonny listened as Margot explained about herself. Jonny could tell that Margot loved what she did as well as being good at it, "Well in that case i will have to see your work" he said smiling. Jonny hoped he didnt come across as flirting or anything with Margot. He generally liked her was interested in her as a person. He also had respect for her, for being able to do what she does, he couldnt imagine trying to be someone else he struggled to be himself most of the time.
Jonny thought for a moment about Margot liking to read scientific books, "I like to read anything that challenges me" he said about his opinions on books. "Your mother must a fantastic perseon to help people then, you take after her" he said smirking slightly.
