Stepping through the mostly empty halls, a young man allowed his mind to wander as his gaze did as well. Hidden behind dark sunglasses, the young man's eyes moved from one side of the hall to the other, glancing back and forth as if searching for answers, but not really looking for them. His mind on the other hand moved across the memories in attempt to find something new. He had a big show to put on tomorrow. Already he had met a young lady and invited her to the front row, now he needed to figure out what he was going to do for her.
As he thought about it, he passed through a room that had many costumes, garments, and clothes that were worn in many of the plays performed here. For here, was "A La Amour Theater" the most famous point in the city. There, many shows were displayed during the week, some plays were made, opera as well, and then there was his trade. Magic. It was all in the movements of his hands and his mind, making sure the crowd wasn't watching what really was happening just to reveal what he wanted them to see. His gift of charm and mesmerization was enough to hide the tricks that weren't magic, and also to mask the ones that were.
Now though, he walked silently behind the stage, attempting to rack his brain for something new, yet nothing came. Already he had performed so many tricks that every time he thought he had something, he realized it had already been done. A sigh escaped his lips as he looked to the floor, seeing his black shoes tap against the ground. The shoes were somewhat covered by his long black pants that also concealed the bottom part of his shirt, which in turn was mostly unbuttoned. Beneath the black long sleeved shirt was his white shirt that he wore just so it seemed a little dressier, but now he didn't really care what he looked like. He wasn't performing after all.

Drea entered the A La Amour Theater with a black dress in hand. She had just recently started practice for another play and she figured that the dress could be used as a costume for her character. She walked into the dressing room and hung the dress up, glancing at it one more time and hoping that it would be approved. The dress had always been her favorite, and she thought that she looked good in it. She hoped that she could wear it on stage for everyone to see as she pertruded her character.
Her high heeled shoes clicked on the hard floor as she walked out of the dressing room and to behind the stage. She couldn't resist to go to the theater and not step foot on stage. As she brushed invisble crumbs off her her dark blue dress, she noticed that she wasn't alone backstage. Standing before her was a young man whom she had never seen before. "Hello?" she called as she began to walk closer.

At the sound of another's voice, Damon's head instantly snapped up and turned toward where it had come from. He hadn't even heard her. Wow, twice in one day, he thought, sincerely disapproving of himself. Smiling nonetheless, the young man nodded to her. It was a familiar face, but only from the night he had stayed to watch the actors perform. "Hello," he responded aloud.
Behind his sunglasses, Damon allowed his gaze to cross over the young lady as the rest of his body shifted to face her completely. She was fairly pretty, as he remembered her, except without the dress that she had been wearing that night. "I don't believe I've had the pleasure," he said to her as his head tilted ever so slightly.

She smiled as she walked even closer towards the young man. It had been awhile since she broke up with her last boyfriend, and she hadn't met any other men besides the ones she worked with. "What are you doing here?" she spoke softly, quite suprised that she wasn't the only one in the theater at this time.
She looked at him closer, admiring his features; he was quite hansome after all. But even though she wanted to know more about him, she couldn't help to feel like she's seen him before. Maybe in a performance or something? "Oh...I'm sorry," she began. "That was quite rude. I'm Drea...Drea Roberts." Drea was never really known for her manners.

Nodding with a smile on his face, Damon replied, "Quite alright, milady. I am Damon, the Demon Walker." The young man bowed to Drea, letting his left hand fall forward in front of him as his right went behind, as he was taught a formal bow would be. As he came up, he smiled to her and allowed his hand to move to join his other behind his back. Holding his left wrist with his right hand, Damon answered her question.
"I was simply walking around," he began, allowing his head to follow his gaze around the room. "Attempting to acquire some ideas." He still hadn't come across any, even though he had walked practically across the entire theater. It was beginning to bother him. If he couldn't think of anything now, how was he going to pull off the show the next day? People had been reserving seats for this show for the past week. Ever since the last one, he knew the crowd would be back to see more.

"Wait a minute, I've heard of you, you're that magician. I've heard of your work," she said and smiled at him, looking him right in the eyes. That explains why he seemed so fimilar. She's seen him in pictures and heard about his shows, but she never acually went and saw one, although she has been wanting to for some time.
"I work at the theater to. I'm an actress and I'm the lead in the upcoming play here," she said proudly. Everytime she was the lead in a play, she always felt like she should tell everyone. She didn't want to boast, it just felt like 'Actor' was a part of her name. "I just came here to bring in a costume...I didn't think that anyone was going to be here," she clarified.

Damon chuckled lightly. Of course she'd have heard of him. Otherwise, he'd probably have been offended. He was of the top notch magicians in the city and usually word about him escaped into conversations more than once. His gaze returned to look at her as she spoke, telling him who she was and why she was there.
"Ah," he replied. "Well, I'm almost always here. Usually hidden away in my room, working on a project or two, or gallivanting around the stage in attempt to design a new trick." His smile lingered on his lips while he spoke, and the lighting from somewhere bounced off of his sunglasses. Thanking his teacher for having them made for him, Damon barely even blinked against the light.

"Then maybe I have seen you around here before. Apparently I was too busy to notice you," she said with a soft smirk. "It does get pretty crazy around here, especially when we're performing. But I am glad that we've had the chance to meet now," she held her smile and looked at her reflection in his sunglasses.
"So, if I may ask, why are you wearing those sunglasses? It isn't bright outside or inside. Or are you trying to be mysterious to impress any wondering women behind the stage?" she asked and raised and eyebrow, her smile still on her lips. "Is that the kind of guy you are? Or are you more of a gentleman?"

Damon's smile faded slightly at her question. The subject of his glasses only came up every so often, though he didn't really like the moments that they did. It was a weakness to him, although he had many, and this one just built upon the rest.
"They protect my eyes," he replied simply. Truth was always a good thing to use. Even as a magician, it always came down to the truth. Although, there were many things he did not speak or allow anyone else to know. His secret of his tricks, for one, were never and may never be revealed.

"Secrects will be secects," she replied and sat on the apron of the stage, her feet over the edge. She swung them a bit back and forth and looked down at her feet. She patted next to her on the stage and motioned for him to sit next to her.
"So, how do you do it? I mean...magic? Oh wait...I forgot that you never say how...or at least do you have a little trick that you could show me? I love magic shows. Honestly, I've always wanted to watch one of yours, but I could never find the time."

In a pondering type of fashion, Damon brought his hand to his chin and stroked it gently. He stared down at the girl for a moment. Well, she hasn't seen any of my other tricks, so a simple one should be fine. Reaching into his pocket, he felt around but found nothing, so while his hand was in there, he conjured a small coin. A silver color and perfectly round, it seemed real enough to spend. The year on the coin was just a couple years ago, and he brought it out in the palm of his hand.
The young man walked to the edge of the stage where Drea was sitting and jumped down. Landing softly, he turned to look up to the young lady. "Alright, but just one." He gently flicked the coin to her and said, "Observe. A simple coin. Take a look at it if you'd like." Expecting her to thoroughly inspect the coin, he walked toward the seats just for a moment. After taking a glance at one of them, he turned around to wait for the coin to be tossed back to him.

She observed the coin, and it was normal. She flipped it over and looked at the back. It was just a normal coin. She tossed it back to him and smile. "Yeah, it's just a simple coin. Now what?" she asked and she pressed her hands against the apron of the stage and swung her feet a bit more back and forth. Even though she loved magic, and she knew a lot of tricks invollving coins, she knew that for some reason, this trick was going to wow her.
"So, are you going to pull the coin from behind my ear or something?" she asked, seeing that trick about a million times already.

Damon caught the coin with his right hand and allowed his left to stay behind his back, just as a semi formal pose. He held up the coin between his index finger and thumb and observed it himself while she asked the sarcastic question. Smiling, he looked back at her. Sadistically, he responded, "No," and then closed his hand around the coin. "You are. Reach behind your left ear and tell me what you find."
The coin inside of Damon's hand dissolved into smoke, displacing itself from his hand. He had forced the object to move to behind her left ear. As soon as he believed the smoke had dissolved completely from his hand, he opened it up to reveal a bare palm.

When Damon had revealed his bare palm, Drea wasn't really amused. She had seen it before and he probably had someone put the coin up his sleeve or something. This trick wasn't anything knew, but she wasn't really expecting too much.
She followed his instructions and reached behind her left ear, thinking that this trick wasn't going to work. But to her suprise, behind her ear, she found a coin, and pulled it in front of her to look at it closer. It was the exact same coin that Damon had showed her. She was amazed. "Woah! How did you do that?"

The young man smiled and raised a finger. Wiggling it back and forth, he said to her, "Ah, ah, ah, a magician never reveals his secrets." He took a step backwards and sat in the seat in the first row. Gazing at her, he continued to smile. "If you would like to see more," he said to her while his smile widened into a grin, "I do have a show coming up tomorrow. It would be an honor if you could attend."
